It was already in 2012 when Igor, one of Maribor finest PhD researchers approached Damjan with a cool idea to create a service that would be the Endomondo for fitness trainees. A simple, attractive tool to guide you during training and track your progress.
Together with another awesome PhD student Matej we started working on it like there is no tomorrow. We named the service JIM, the trainer. In less than three months we conducted an extensive user study, working with both fitness trainers and trainees to define the sweet spot. It was immense fun sweating in the gym while Damjan was also testing his PhD methodology for participatory interaction design. To benchmark the prototype we sent it to the ImagineCup competition - hence the Windows Phone prototype. We reached the finals and got some really cool feedback from future users.
The mobile app is accompanied with the web application where trainees can track progress. They can also interact with the trainers - so a cool CRM for trainers is also in the making.
At the moment, the service is in closed beta testing and we also applied for the AppCampus.
